BOY SWALLOWS UNIVERSE is about a young boy in 1980s Brisbane, Australia trying to make it through his adolescence with his parents gone or in prison, his step-father selling heroin, and his main protector a repeat felon who holds the national record for most prison escapes. Despite his environment holding him back, he falls in love and fights to save his mother, all before his first day of high school.
