FLORA is a delightful story of a precocious ten-year old girl being cared for by her late mother's twenty-two-year-old cousin. The tale is set during the final months of World War Two, at Oak Ridge, Tennessee, where the child's father is engaged in secret military work. By the end of the book, it's difficult to determine just who is caring for whom.
