WITH THE OLD BREED was named by critics of the genre as the #1 war story ever told by an enlisted man. Ken Burns called it the most honest, moving memoir of World War Two and Tom Hanks called Eugene Sledge "more than a legend" Long unavailable in hardback, the publisher has just brought it back in-print and includes incredible insights of the war in the Pacific from the Marines' point of view.
THIS COPY will be hand signed by Henry Sledge (E. B.'s son) in honor of his father. Henry traveled to the Pacific battlefields, studied his father's writings, speaks around the world about the stories, and has written a powerful companion book - The Old Breed. It is a signed hardback, opened only for signing and comes with a certificate authenticating the signature. Originally published by Presidio in 1981, and now by Bantam, an imprint of Penguin Random House.
